Physiotherapy is a type of healthcare that helps people regain or improve their physical abilities. It uses different techniques like exercises, massages, and other treatments to target specific areas of the body that are not working as well as they should. This can be due to injuries, surgeries, or long-term health conditions like arthritis or back pain.

Physiotherapy is not just about active exercises; it can also include relaxing treatments that help ease tension in the muscles and make you feel more comfortable. These relaxing treatments can help reduce stress and improve overall well-being, making physiotherapy a versatile approach to handling both physical and mental aspects of recovery and health maintenance.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic approach to health and healing that has developed over thousands of years in China. It encompasses a wide range of practices, including herbal medicine, acupuncture, dietary therapy, exercise (such as tai chi and qigong), and massage (tui na). TCM is based on the concept of Qi (vital energy) flowing through the body along pathways known as meridians. Health is seen as a harmonious balance of the body's Qi, yin and yang, and other opposing forces. Disease or illness is considered a result of imbalances or blockages in this flow of energy.

Acupuncture, one of the key components of TCM, involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body's meridians to correct imbalances in the flow of Qi. This practice is used to treat a variety of conditions by stimulating the body's natural healing mechanisms, promoting physical and emotional well-being. Acupuncture is recognized for its effectiveness in pain relief, stress reduction, and treating a broad spectrum of health issues, reflecting the principles of balance and energy central to TCM.
